The rain crashed against the palace walls as the dark figure landed soundlessly on the stone balcony. A heartbeat later... He vaulted through the open window... Meersha looked up in shock. "...You?" Arjav stood at the entrance, drenched from head to toe, rainwater dripping from his hair onto the marble floor. "You crossed the border... in this storm?" He didn't answer. He just walked toward her, each step slow enough to make her heartbeat louder than the thunder outside. Stopping inches away, he caught her waist and pulled her towards him. His thumb brushed across her skin before he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, his fingers lingering for only a heartbeat. "Why are you here... at this time?" she whispered, though she hadn't taken a single step back. "You told me..." he murmured, his voice low, "...to come whenever I missed you." And lick her skin from back of her ear to the neck slowly. She swallowed hard "This is forbidden..." "I know." "Our kingdoms are enemies." "I know." "We don't even love each other..." "......" ____ His heart still belonged to the woman he could never have. She stopped believing that she will ever get loved by anyone when the love of her life chose someone else over her. Now there was only a desire neither of them was willing to deny. In an era where kingdoms were ruled by honor and a princess's reputation meant everything, they dared to share a forbidden bond that should never have existed. But then what happened that destiny brought them together as husband & wife but now if there's something between them.. it's a HATE. Will she be ever chosen? Will she be ever loved?
